Saturday, Feb. 6th is our annual winter celebration event and the weather promises to be just about perfect. The 4 inches of new powder we’ve had in the last several days has made all the difference. The ski conditions have gone from borderline to good. I could even say very good if not for the fact that there are still a few rocks and thin cover spots to watch out for.

All the ski trails will be groomed Saturday morning by 10am. I (along with 20 other people) was out Friday evening on the arrowed snowshoe loop and it was fantastic. It’s the loop that you will follow if you chose to do the special “poker run.” Note there are some weather related changes to the schedule as follows: – ice skating has been cancelled due to the warm spell last week, and the snowmachine jumping has been postponed until the VAST trails are reopened.

If you are a season’s pass holder at a ski area that is currently closed, you can ski at Millstone for half-price. And if you are a member of the Catamount Trail Association, check your coupon book for a half-price voucher.

So come up to the hill and see what Millstone has to offer. I’ll see you on the trail.
