As you may have noticed, the firm frozen has given way to wet frozen, and now soft frozen. Walkers and fat-tire bikers will find a mix of surfaces including glacial ice, bare ground, and crusty snow dregs. Skiers and snowshoers, on the other hand, will find only misery and regret.
Bikers, please be mindful – each bare patch of ground is like a tiny mud season.
