MTA Friends and Members,

On Sunday, August 19, the Millstone Trails Association will once again be hosting the Millstone Grind. This popular event draws mountain bike racers from all over the Northeast. Proceeds from the event will go towards the new Barre Town Forest project. For more information, check out the Grind’s website at http://www.millstonegrind.com/Home.html.

Race organizers are still in need of volunteers to be Course Marshalls at key intersections on the race course where racers might easily get confused. Specifically, a total of 6 volunteers are needed on August 19 for two separate shifts of 3 course marshalls each.  The first set of 3 course marshalls would start at 9:15 a.m. and go to about 12:30 p.m.  The second shift of 3 marshalls could begin at about Noon and go until 3:30 p.m..  All volunteers will receive a great lunch and an MTA trails pass. This is a great way to support MTA and will be alot of fun as well. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Millstone Grind race coordinator Mat Katz at katz.mathew@gmail.com  or by phone at (802) 377-1584.

Thanks for your support of MTA!

Mike Fraysier,
MTA President
