Thanks to last week’s mega-storm, the trails have an abundance of snow. However, the condition of the snow varies greatly as the thermometer rises and falls. When the temperature is above freezing and the sun is high in the sky, the snow softens up, and the skiing is delightful. So unless you feel the need for extreme speed, I suggest waiting until 10am or so before you head out on the trail. The weather report is fabulous – a balmy 44 degree high is predicted for Saturday.
